Shakib Al Hasan will not be available for ODI series against West Indies
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the ODI series after the three-match T20I series against the West Indies and will return home, Bangladesh said. Cricket Board President Nazimul Hassan told the board meeting that Shakib Al Hasan was given the leadership of the team for a series of Tests, T20s and ODIs during the tour of West Indies.
Nazimul Hassan said that before leaving for West Indies Shakib Al Hasan had verbally told a board official that he would not be available for the ODI series but he has not officially informed anyone about the three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and West Indies.
C-Day is not part of the Super League, which is probably why Shakib Al Hasan has decided not to participate. According to the report, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has included Tejul Islam in the team as his replacement.
