Saudi Arabia donates 3.5 million dollars for the peaceful use of nuclear technology
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has announced a $2.5 million donation to support the modernization of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s cyberspace laboratories (RENOL-2 initiative), which will help strengthen regulatory capabilities.
The kingdom donated one million dollars to support the agency’s initiative for coordinated action to combat zoonotic diseases using nuclear techniques initiated by the International Atomic Energy Agency, aimed at preventing animal-borne diseases. Preventing the spread of infectious diseases, helping to strengthen preparedness and response.
It is to be noted that in the nuclear and radiological fields, the maximum use and saving of nuclear technology and the provision of services for the safe use of nuclear technology are to be provided to the member countries of the IAEA.
