PTI’s protest against Azam Swati’s arrest in Senate, meeting postponed
Islamabad: Tehreek-e-Insaf members protested the arrest of Azam Khan Swati in the Senate session.
Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi participated in the Senate meeting against the arrest of Senator Azam Swati by tying black bands on their arms. PTI senators protested in front of the Senate Chairman’s dais and raised slogans “Free Azam Swati”.
On the other hand, PML-N Senator Dr. Afnanullah pointed out that the quorum was not met, after which the bells were rung in the Senate.
Due to lack of quorum in the Senate, the meeting was adjourned till 4 pm on Monday, at which PTI senators raised slogans of run away.
