Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Qatar on a two-day official visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has arrived in Qatar on a two-day official visit to Qatar at the invitation of Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Along with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafiq, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema, Maryam Aurangzeb, Adviser to Prime Minister Ahad Khan Cheema and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi and other senior officials have also left for Qatar.

It should be noted that before the departure, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had said in his statement on Twitter that he is leaving for Qatar on the invitation of his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

This visit will renew the bond of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries. We want to transform our historic bilateral ties into an even more effective strategic relationship.

Shahbaz Sharif said that in meetings with the business community, I will inform them about the attractive investment opportunities in Pakistan, which include renewable energy, food security, industrial and infrastructure development, tourism and hospitality sectors.

He said that it is important to understand the context of this visit. After the corona epidemic, the world is moving from economic slowdown to recovery.

Geopolitical tensions have affected supply and demand and rising energy and food prices have added to the problems. Common challenges require finding new ways to collaborate.
