ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghos Pasha has clearly stated that Pakistan is not at risk of bankruptcy.
Addressing the launch ceremony of a special report titled “Pakistan’s Economic Security Challenges and Way Forward” in Islamabad, Ayesha Ghos Pasha said that Pakistan has ensured the availability of external financing requirements for the next year. However, the economic sector faces major challenges.
He said that as a result of the wise measures taken by the government, the rupee has stabilized and imports have reduced significantly. Highlighting the importance of sustaining the recent economic success of the government, he emphasized on institutional reforms in the economy to get out of the economic volatility.
The Minister of State for Finance further said that without the continuity of economic policies, we cannot take our country on the path of human security.
