Islamabad High Court’s notice against threatening a female judge is welcome, Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman has said that Islamabad High Court’s notice against threatening a female session judge is welcome. The practice of threatening judges and police officers is worrisome. If these threats are not taken seriously, it will become the norm, everyone will try to intimidate justice and law enforcement.

These views were expressed by Sherry Rahman in his statement on Twitter on Tuesday.

Sherry Rehman said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was judicially murdered, Shaheed Bibi faced the courts all her life but no one threatened the judges. In PTI government, Asif Ali Zardari was remanded for months, we never threatened any judge. They are threatening the judge on remand for two days.

He said that Imran Khan has been the darling of the courts and institutions all his life, so now he considers himself above the law and the courts. Instead of admitting their mistake, PTI leaders are still threatening to shut down the country. They were also making plans to jam the country and were hiding for fear of arrest.
