Islamabad: Contempt of court petition against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been set for hearing in Islamabad High Court.
According to Express News, lawyer Syed Zafar Ali Shah has taken a stand in the petition filed as a petitioner that Nawaz Sharif went abroad with the permission of Lahore High Court due to illness and Shahbaz Sharif submitted an affidavit to send him. was
It has been further stated in the petition that Nawaz Sharif is accused by various courts, so contempt of court proceedings should be initiated against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Besides, the court should also issue orders for the return of Nawaz Sharif. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been made parties in the petition.
The petition against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been fixed for Monday with objections from the Registrar’s Office, which will be heard by Chief Justice Athar Minullah. Earlier, the registrar’s office had objected that the affidavit submitted to the Lahore High Court was the forum for the application.
