ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet has approved the agreement between Qatar, government and Pakistan Army for the security of FIFA World Cup.
According to the news agencies, Qatar has asked for help from the Pakistan Army for the security of the Football World Cup starting from November 20. In addition, on the invitation of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif tomorrow 23 to 24 August. He will also make a 2-day official visit to Qatar by 2022. This will be the first visit of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to Qatar.
A high-level delegation including key members of the federal cabinet will also visit Qatar along with the prime minister. During the visit, the Prime Minister will consult with the Qatari leadership on various issues. The parties will review all aspects of bilateral relations. Particular attention will be given to advancing energy-related cooperation, deepening trade and investment ties, and exploring greater employment opportunities for Pakistanis in Qatar.
The Prime Minister will also hold meetings with Qatari and Pakistani businessmen, investors and businessmen in Doha. The Prime Minister will also visit Stadium 974 in Doha where he will be briefed on the extensive preparations made by the Government of Qatar to host the FIFA World Cup.
The Prime Minister’s visit to Qatar will further deepen cooperation between the two countries in various fields and strengthen their growing economic partnership.
