America donates Corona vaccine to Pakistan for 9 million children and adults

Washington: The US has donated another batch of food for 9 million children and adults to Pakistan.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom has said that a new batch of Corona has been donated for 9 million children and adults, while an additional $20 million in funding is also planned to support ongoing vaccination efforts in Pakistan.

The statement issued by the US State Department said that since the beginning of the Corona epidemic, the US government has provided approximately 70.4 million dollars directly and 13.8 million dollars in aid to help the Pakistani people.
The statement also said that the United States has recently donated four mobile testing laboratories worth $4.6 million to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through USAID, which are used to test for Corona and other infectious diseases, especially in remote areas of Pakistan. It will strengthen the ability to diagnose diseases.

It should be noted that earlier, the US has provided Pakistan with more than 1.2 million N95 masks, 96,000 surgical masks, 52,000 protective glasses, 1 million Covid rapid diagnostic tests, 1,200 pulse oximeters and 200 for 64 hospitals across the country. Ventilators were provided.

In addition, the US government has trained more than 50,000 health workers across the country, including 30,000 women, to care for Covid patients at home and has established a national network of disease surveillance and response units and teams.
