Islamabad: An important development has been made in the contempt of court case for using insulting language against a female judge, the Islamabad High Court has constituted a new larger bench in the contempt of court case against Imran Khan.
The larger bench consisting of five judges will now be headed by Chief Justice Athar Minullah. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will also be part of the larger bench.
The court has issued a show-cause notice to Imran Khan for his insulting remarks against Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and the court has summoned him in person on August 31. Imran Khan has also been ordered to respond to the show cause notice by August 31.
It should be noted that Chief Justice Athar Minullah has reached the Islamabad High Court today after spending holidays abroad. He was on leave from July 12 to August 25.
