A meeting of the US Congress delegation with the Army Chief

Rawalpindi: A delegation from the US met Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) during which they discussed the regional situation and bilateral relations in various fields. The American delegation has also expressed regret over the damage caused by the flood.

On Tuesday, according to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the American delegation led by Sheila Jackson Lee met with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Among the visitors were Thomas Suzy, Alexandra Green.

On this occasion, regional security situation and bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed. The delegation expressed grief over the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan and offered full support to the flood victims in their difficult times.

The American delegation appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability and reiterated its determination to play a role in increasing bilateral cooperation. The Army Chief expressed his gratitude for the support of the American delegation and said that the help of international partners will be important in the rehabilitation of the victims.
