13 people were killed and 21 injured due to lightning strikes in Yemen
Sana’a: 13 people were killed and 21 injured in a lightning strike in Yemen.
According to local media, the Committee on Emergency and Disasters in Hajja Governorate said in a statement that 7 people were killed and 8 injured due to lightning in Kafal Shamar Directorate.
According to foreign media, three brothers were among those who died due to lightning in Hajja governorate. In another incident, 6 women were killed and 13 injured in a lightning strike during a condolence gathering in Amran province.
Heavy stormy rains have been happening in Yemen for almost two months, of which the stormy rains have caused floods in some places, 77 people have died due to floods so far.
